Duplicate Bridge: Aug. 30



The Airport Bridge Club celebrates Labor Day with double-point pairs games at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Monday and a chicken barbecue at 1. All games next week will award double points.
The club offers triple points in the pairs game today at noon, following the “1,000 Hands to Learn From” lesson at 10:45 a.m., and at the $2 pairs game at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Duplicate Bridge: Aug. 16

The Airport Bridge Club has moved up the start of its $2 Sunday pairs game to noon this week to accommodate players who also want to attend the Bob Feasley Memorial Corn Fest at the Bridge Center of Buffalo. The Corn Fest starts with dinner at 4 p.m., followed by a game at 4:45.

Triple points will be awarded Sunday, Aug. 17, at the Airport Bridge Club and today, Saturday, Aug. 16, in the pairs game at noon following the “1,000 Hands to Learn From” lesson at 10:45 a.m. Next week’s games award double points.

Congratulations to Jay Levy, top Buffalo player in the Burt Garrell Syracuse Regional Tournament Aug. 4 to 10 in Liverpool. He was 71st overall with 20.38 points.
