The
Strawberry Social hosted annually by
Western New York Unit 116 will be held at 12:30 p.m. today, Saturday, June 11,
at the Lockport Duplicate Club in the Dale Center, 33 Ontario St.
The Airport Bridge Club also
will have a unit game with Paula’s Donuts, also at 12:30 p.m. today, Saturday,
June 11. The Bridge Center of Buffalo is closed today.

The
Spring Sectional Tournament at the
Clubs (STac), awarding silver points in club play and bonus points for winners
at the district level, will be held at sanctioned ACBL clubs from Monday, June
13, to Sunday, June 19.
The
Airport Bridge Club will hold two STaC pairs games daily, at 10 a.m. and 1:15
p.m., from Monday to Saturday, June 18. The club also will have STaC Swiss team
sessions at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday, June 19, using the “eight is enough”
format. Players should register in advance for Swiss teams by calling 836-7016.
The
Bridge Center of Buffalo will hold a special STaC for all Non-Life Masters
regardless of point level at noon Tuesday, June 14.

Longest Day, a series of special
games in bridge clubs throughout the country on Monday, June 20, to benefit the
Alzheimer’s Association, will be played locally at the Bridge Center of Buffalo
and the Airport Bridge Club. The Bridge Center’s games will be at 3 and 7:30
p.m. with refreshments served between games. The Airport Club will hold games awarding extra points at 10 a.m. (with Paula's Donuts), noon (with free lunch) and 2 p.m. (with dessert). Fee for each game will be $5.
