Duplicate Bridge: Nov. 16, 2019




The Airport Bridge Club begins a series of lessons on “Pre-empting on Lofty Levels: The Rule of 2-3-4” at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20. A game follows at noon. All games at the club during the coming week will award extra points at no extra cost.

The Bridge Center of Buffalo will celebrate members who became Life Masters recently in a special game at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24. They include Mary Ball, John Bava, Henry Chudy, Jim Easton, Ed Morgan and Bob Sommerstein.

Congratulations to Saleh Fetouh, the Buffalo player who earned the most master points at last week’s Niagara Falls, Ont., Regional Tournament. He won 58.39 points and was 14th overall.
Other local players doing well in Niagara Falls included: Martha and John Welte, both 24.93 points; Linda Burroughsford, 22.98; Jim Gullo, 20.28; and Davis Heussler, 20.05.
