The Buffalo Winter Sectional Tournament continues in the Main-Transit Fire Hall, 6777 Main St.., Amherst, with pairs games at 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today, Saturday, Jan. 25, and concludes with Swiss teams at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26. The Airport Bridge Club offers extra points at no extra charge at all of its games next week. The game Wednesday, Jan. 29, starts at noon after a lesson at 10 a.m. from club director Bill Finkelstein.

Congratulations to Ethan Xie, whose Under 16 team finished second in the U.S. Junior Team trials in Atlanta last month, losing by just one International Match Point. His team and the first-place team will go to Italy this summer to compete in the World Junior Championship.
