Duplicate Bridge: Dec. 21

The Bridge Center of Buffalo will be closed Tuesday, Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and will hold an open pairs game at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Christmas Day, Dec. 25.

The Airport Bridge Club will be hold its regular pairs game at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Christmas Eve, and will be closed Wednesday, Christmas Day. The club will hold its first skill-balanced format Swiss team game with free pizza at 11 a.m. on Sunday Dec. 29. For info, call 603-6943.

Congratulations to Harry Cheung, the local player who won the most points in last week’s District 5 Winter Sectional Tournament at the Clubs (STaC). His total of 25.47 placed him fourth in the district, which includes Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

Other local players with high point totals included John Ziemer, 23.33 (seventh); Jerry Geiger, 15.12 (22nd); Vince Pesce, 14.79 (23rd); Judy Padgug, 11.86 (32nd); Mike Silverman, 10.81 (40th); and Stan Kozlowski, 10.35 (44th).
