Duplicate Bridge: Oct. 14




The Airport Bridge Club awards extra points at its game at noon today, Saturday, Oct. 14. Bridge Club Meridian has an extra-point game at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16.

The Buffalo Spooktacular Regional Tournament begins Tuesday, Oct. 17, in the Adams Mark Hotel, 120 Church St., in downtown Buffalo, and continues through to Sunday, Oct. 22. For info, click this link

The Bridge Center of Buffalo and the Airport Bridge Club will be closed Tuesday to next Saturday during the regional tournament. Delaware Wednesday also will be closed Wednesday night for the tournament.

Congratulations to Saleh Fetouh and David Hemmer, who won the most master points – 20.25 – among the Buffalo area players competing in the North American Pairs qualifying round last weekend in Erie, Pa. They finished third in the A Flight.
Other local pairs doing well were Linda Burroughsford and Davis Heussler, 13.50 points, third in the B Flight; and Mary Ball and Joyce Frayer, 6 points, fifth in the C Flight.

Hamburg Senior Bridge, which has been meeting on Tuesday afternoons for the past two years at the Hamburg Senior Center, 4540 Southwestern Blvd., is looking for additional players.
Previous players who have been away from the game, as well as advanced beginners who recently took classes, are welcome to join the group.
Players arrive around 12:15 p.m. Play begins at 12:30 and ends around 3:30. For more information, players can drop in prior to the game, call 202-4505 or email chetzler@roadrunner.com.
