Duplicate Bridge: Feb. 15

The Bridge Center of Buffalo holds a triple point game at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, with a potluck party and offers extra point games from Tuesday, Feb. 18, to next Saturday, Feb. 22. Lunch with Jim Gullo is featured at the 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, game.

The Airport Bridge Club has a Valentine’s Day after-party and pairs game at 11 a.m. today, Saturday, Feb. 15; and a Presidents Day chicken barbecue between pairs games at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17. Next Saturday, Feb. 22, the club will offer a lesson at 10:45 p.m. followed by a pairs game at noon.

Congratulations to partners Bert Hargeshimer and Christy Kellogg, who earned the most points among Buffalo players in the 60th Niagara District Sectional Tournament in St. Catharines, Ont., last weekend, Feb. 7 to 9. They each had 16.89 points, which tied for 10th place.
Other Buffalo players who scored well in St. Catharines included Saleh Fetouh (13.07, tied for 22nd), Bud Seidenberg (11, 26th), Kathy Pollock (7.85, 38th), Madhav and Beena Deshmukh (6.17, tied for 54th), Wufeng Luo, Ten-Pao Lee and Chongmin Zhang (5.83, tied for 59th) and Chris Urbanek (5.42, tied for 63rd).
