Duplicate Bridge: Aug. 17


More than a dozen North American Pairs qualifier games, awarding triple points, half red, will be offered during the coming week. All of the games Tuesday, Aug. 20, to Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Bridge Center of Buffalo will be NAP qualifiers. Same with all of the games today, Saturday, Aug. 17, through next Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Airport Bridge Club.

Starting times vary this week at the Airport Bridge Club, with games at 11 a.m. today, at 1 p.m. Sunday, and at noon – an hour later than usual – each day from Monday to Saturday. This week’s evening game is at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21. The club holds a double-point Swiss team game with free sandwiches at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25.

Bridge Club Meridian is awarding extra points at all of its games this month at no extra cost.

The Bridge Center of Buffalo holds its annual Corn Fest Sunday, Aug. 25, with food and a game at 4 p.m. It will be a unit-rated game with extra master points.
